Duncan has been in the Funeral Industry for 22 years.
“I was drawn to this role with the desire to be a support to people at this difficult time in their lives.”
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
The greatest reward in this role is knowing you have helped a family create positive memories of a difficult time, as well as hearing a family express their gratitude for your support and guidance through the process.
Additionally, I consider myself fortunate to work with such a great team of people in my region.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love the outdoors. So, walking, fishing, and kayaking are regular pastimes.
I enjoy landscape and wildlife photography, getting out along our coast and the Adelaide Hills capturing our amazing scenery and wildlife.
What’s the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?
Funeral of a local farmer.
Service was held on family farm under a large gumtree overlooking the homestead. The coffin arrived on a trailer with hay bales towed behind his tractor.
Every element reflected his love of the land and the property that had been in the family for generations.
My mother passed away recently, and it was the first death in the family. I had no idea on how to begin a task of planning a funeral. But Duncan and his team from Morphett Vale were incredibly helpful, supportive, friendly and understanding in helping to guide us through the arrangements for our beloved Mother’s funeral service.
