Meeting Lyn at Simplicity Funerals was the silver lining out of the sad situation.
She made the process so easy, with care and grace, and met us at our level of humour so I never felt like I had to act in another way than myself. The processes after death are a lot! And confusing to the uninitiated - and Lyn figuratively held our hand through the entire process. Lyn - I hope you know how grateful we are that we walked through your day that day. I highly recommend Lyn and Simplicity Funerals.

What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
I enjoy working with a group of people who all love what they do and genuinely care about providing an excellent service to our families. I also enjoy sitting down with families to plan a farewell that’s as unique and special as their loved one.
What do you like about your local area?
I love living south of the city. I enjoy being close to the hills, wineries, and beaches and feel we’re spoilt for choice. As a country girl, I appreciate the sense of community and the friendliness of the people in my area.
What inspired you to work in funeral planning?
Funeral planning can be an overwhelming experience and I like being able to guide and support families through the process, hopefully making a sad time a little easier for them, whilst also remembering happy times and making them smile.
What’s the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?
A lady who was always late requested that she be late for her own funeral. Her friend was in theatre and was the celebrant for her service, and after the service had begun was asking if anyone had seen her. At this point a colleague and I wheeled the coffin into the chapel amongst laughter from her friends and family.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
I love travelling and enjoy everything from camping in a tent to the luxury of a cruise ship. A quick weekend away in the bush is just as enjoyable as sitting on a balcony watching the world go by.
