My uncle had arranged a pre-paid funeral with Simplicity several years before he died.
At his death, the Simplicity team managed each stage of the funeral with dignity and care in accordance with his wishes. The staff were very caring and excellent in their communication of each procedure, so I felt included and well-informed at every stage. I will happily recommend their services to anyone in need of them.

How long have you been a funeral arranger?
I have been arranging and conducting funerals for 40 plus years.
What do you like about your local area?
Having lived and worked in the local area for so long, I’d have to say the community. We’re made up of a variety of people of different cultures, religions, nationalities and ages. The people here are very down to earth.
What makes your brand special?
Our team are locals who know the area well. We have a lot of families that return and ask for a particular funeral director because they made a special impression. Families often pop in to say hello after we have looked after them.
What gives you strength in this work?
Knowing that we are supporting the family from start to finish and no matter what is going on in my life, they are dealing with something that is a lot harder to deal with.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
Spending time with my family. My wife, 2 adult children and their partners and our 3 grandchildren. I love my sport, dining out and travelling.
What do you love about the community your funeral home is in?
A very down to earth community. Having lived and worked in the area for nearly forty years I feel that I am part of the community
What makes Simplity Funerals special?
Simplicity pretty much says it all. Simple can mean so many diferent things to different people and we can cater to suit all the needs of the families that we care for.
What’s the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?
Every funeral we conduct is remarkable. The deceased is remarkable to the family that we care for and try to arrange a funeral that reflects that.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
My wife and I love cruising. We’ve been to Singapore, Bangkok, the South Pacific and the Straits of Malacca. Cruising is an awesome way to see the world – unpacking just the once, visiting different locations and then getting back on the ship to enjoy the various entertainment options.
