How long have you been a funeral arranger?
I have been a Funeral Director for 12 years.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
I love meeting people and to be able to look after a family and their loved one is an honorable thing to do. Its such a privilidge. Arranging a "Final Farewell" for a a loved one is such an important thing to do allowing family members and friends a chance to say goodbye.
What do you like about your local area?
I live locally, this is my community too. The community is growing so fast and I am part of that. As a local JP, I also get to meet people from all walks of life, and who live here or nearby.
What charities does your brand/location support in your area?
We are proud to support The Salvation Army, The Local Bowls Club, The Ladies Who Knit at the shopping centre, The Mens Shed.
What makes your brand special?
At Simplicity Funerals, our local people serve the local community, a community we are part of. We are ideally situated on the main street, easy to see, easy to find, and easy to get in touch.
How do you and your team support families at such an important time?
We support our families by understanding what they are going through, by being a neighbour and friend and providing a guiding hand when its needed the most. With compassion, care and strength, we support local families through their most difficult moments.
What gives you strength in this work?
Knowing that we are providing compassionate care of not just a loved one, but their family and friends too.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
When I have spare time, I like travelling, reading and looking after my two fur babies, Jack and Ella.
What do you love about the community your funeral home is in?
It's vibrant, growing with everything you need just around the corner.
What’s the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?
I have been privileged to have cared for so many families, and its difficult to pick just one funeral, but what leaves me feeling blessed, is have having familes say thank you afterwards. You become really close to some families, and in fact their family becomes your family too.
