Simplicity are truly caring and very helpful and helped make it an easy process.
We had Geraldine and she was absolutely amazing and helped me so much with organising my mother's funeral and being my first time, she was so patient & she showed she cared. I really couldn't have asked for better funeral home to help organise the perfect funeral for mum. I highly recommend them.
Everyone at Simplicity Funerals were very helpful and understanding with what we need and what we were going through physical and emotional.
I would like to pass on my thanks and best wishes to all staff from myself and family for a great job they perform. Cheers.
We were greeted with such warmth and understanding, not having dealt with anything like this before.
Paul sat us down and went through everything with us. The funeral was beautiful, thanks to Simplicity Funerals.

What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
I’m blessed to be a part of a wonderful team of Funeral Directors and love coming to work each day. I love listening to families relay their loved one’s life journey so that together we can create a Funeral service as beautiful and as unique as the individual was. I love helping people through what can be a very dark time ensuring that all options are provided so that families can make informed decisions. I pride myself on offering pricing transparency so that families can work within their own individual budgets.
What do you like about your local area?
I live on acreage in a semi-rural community, and I love the sense of community unity and the peace and quiet of the area. We are at the base of Mount Baw Baw, so the winters make having an open fireplace one of life’s luxuries.
What do you value most about being part of Simplicity Funerals?
The thing I value most about being a part of Simplicity Funerals is the unwavering support I receive from all members of the Simplicity Funerals team across Victoria - I'm never alone. Each of us has our own strengths, and we're passionate about sharing our expertise when needed, to ensure that the client families we serve, are provided with excellence at every opportunity.
How do you and your team support families at such an important time?
Our greatest trait within the Simplicity Funerals team is that we listen to our client families. A great farewell, is essentially about the details. We ensure that our client families visions & expectations are fully understood so that the farewell is exactly as they've envisioned it to be with no surprise costings.
What gives you strength in this work?
That moment at the end of the Funeral service, where our client family thanks us for our efforts and expertise in helping them create a memorable and fitting farewell for their loved one is where I receive the gift of gratefulness. I draw strength in knowing that in some small way, I have helped a family through a hard journey they didn't want to under take. Taking that moment to simply say thank you, means the world to me.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy spending quality time with my husband of 31 years and together we enjoy exploring outdoors. I’m also a Collingwood Football team supporter and enjoy watching them play and try to attend as many home games as possible. In my spare time you’ll find me in the kitchen preparing food – as this is my love language! I enjoy nothing more than sitting down to eat with my husband catching up on each other’s day.
What do you love about the community your funeral home is in?
I love the diversity within our community. We are honoured to assist families of various faiths and customs, from Catholic Mass services to services held within the home - each Funeral service we are engaged to assist with is a priviledge that we take very seriously.
What makes Simplicity Funerals special?
We are dedicated towards working with the clients' family to create their vision of how the farewell will look, at a price point that suits each particular family. There's no upselling or pushiness - we provide all options and considerations and allow our client families to make informed decisions that best suit their circumstances.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
I have 2 rescue dogs (A Maremma and a Kelpie cross) and a rescue cat and combined they create a lovely playful atmosphere at home. Weekends are spent playing chase the ball together and taking long walks through our local parks. I am blessed by their different quirky personalities, and watching them grow and thrive has been my source of joy.
