Peta has been in the industry for eight years. Prior to starting this journey, she worked in Aged Care as a Nurse and Diversional Therapist.
She loves being able to offer comfort and support to families, as well as working alongside her beautiful colleague Lisa. Lisa comes from an Italian background and has been invaluable in liaising with the Italian Community.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
I love to travel and hope to do more. I'm originally from New Zealand, so visiting family and friends is definitely on the cards.
What’s the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?
I’ve helped arrange many remarkable funerals, and really, it’s the families that make them unique. Their input and the stories of the person who passed helped us significantly to create a meaningful tribute to their loved one. Meaningful means different things to everybody, so it’s about communicating with the family to ensure we meet their individual needs and wants.
What charities does Simplicity Funerals support in your area?
We support the Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, proceeds raised support ongoing medical research and patient care.
Also, we support a few nursing homes with raffle prizes and various items for events like Anzac Day and Remembrance Day. Our Branch is involved with Zonta, a global organisation that empowers women worldwide through service and advocacy.
We had and amazing experience from start to finish in the hardest time of our lives. They were professional, caring, compassionate and understanding. The price was very reasonable and that was with add ons we required, and they were very accommodating especially when we sourced our Coffin elsewhere. Lisa was absolutely amazing and helped every step and encouraged me to participate in the dressing which was hard but an amazing experience I'm glad I didn't miss. I hope to never have to recommend a funeral director but if I do it would be this amazing team.
