Funeral Director - Windsor
I was born and raised in a small country town in Victoria, where primary employment was dairy farming and working at the Kraft Cheese Factory, my father was a builder and carpenter, I am the middle child of five. At 17 I left home and joined and served in the Woman's Royal Australian Army Corps, following on in the Army Reserve after having my children. I have had many occupations and the opportunity to live all over Australia and seen some absolutely amazing placed in this vast and beautiful country.

How long have you been a funeral arranger?
I joined the Funeral Industry as a Funeral Co-ordinator in 2004, but in 2005, I felt very drawn to be actually caring and arranging the right Funeral Service for the family and honouring their loved one's so began my journey as a Funeral Arranger.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
Each and everytime I walk through the door, I am there to care for in the family, I love listening to their stories, understanding their grief, knowing when to talk and when to listen and making sure that familes are aware I will still be there after the funeral, when sometimes I may be needed the most.
What makes your brand special?
Simplicity Funerals appeals to most people in this day and age. We are transparent in our pricing, and our families have the flexible options in how they’d like to arrange a service, we are just their to support and guide. Our team is very supportive of our families and of one another and we are always there to lend a helping hand.
Simplicity Funerals makes things simple, which is why it’s so special.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my children, grand-children and extended family. When I have time, I love to read English period novels and recently I have started to learn Gaelic, that is testing me. Also, I have a passion for travel and history, and enjoy travelling to England, Scotland and would love to return again along with seeing Wales and Ireland. I have had the opportunity to live in alot of different places in Australia, but my heart is still firmly placed in that small country town, along side the mighty Murray River in Victoria.
I am a strong supporter of Rescue Dogs, in fact I have had many furry friends, including Clarry, Charlie and Moose, who just make everything right in the day.
What do you love about the community your funeral home is in?
Windsor is still like being in a Country Town, people do actually stop and talk, I love that our families and also people passing just call in for a chat, the simple things in a busy day.
What’s the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?
I have cared for many families over the years, including family members and friends and still keep each and every family and service in my heart.
Every service has held a special place in my heart, from the person being well known, or a member of the family, to having a service where there is no family and our staff have stood there and have thanked them for something that was good in our day. Every service is special, every service we are there to guide the families and friends. I love the words of remembrance by the families, the one’s that make you cry, the one’s that make to laugh out loud, the one’s that make you wish you had met that person before you were planning their funeral.
