Everyone at Simplicity Funerals were very helpful and understanding with what we need and what we were going through physical and emotional.
I would like to pass on my thanks and best wishes to all staff from myself and family for a great job they perform. Cheers.
We were greeted with such warmth and understanding, not having dealt with anything like this before.
Paul sat us down and went through everything with us. The funeral was beautiful, thanks to Simplicity Funerals.
Simplicity are truly caring and very helpful and helped make it an easy process.
We had Geraldine and she was absolutely amazing and helped me so much with organising my mother's funeral and being my first time, she was so patient & she showed she cared. I really couldn't have asked for better funeral home to help organise the perfect funeral for mum. I highly recommend them.

Funeral Director - Newtown
John joined the funeral industry seven months ago and has recently begun arranging services with guidance from experienced colleagues.
He values helping families feel less burdened during a difficult time and takes pride in ensuring every detail of the funeral is just right.
How long have you been a funeral arranger?
I joined the industry 7 months ago. I have only started arranging Simplicity funerals in the last week with the help of more experienced arrangers.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
I really like the feeling of helping someone make a horrible situation feel less of a burden. The fact that I am helping someone to start the healing process after their loss, is very satisfying. I really enjoy getting all the details of the arrangement right and producing a funeral which goes perfectly.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare times?
I love to swim and go to the gym most days. I love cooking food from scratch, using organic ingredients which I love to shop for and the challenge of switching healthier ingredients in a recipe to make it taste just as good as the naughty versions. I love being with my friends and family on long walks somewhere beautiful or at the movies or on a picnic. I love travelling and weekends away. I love to meditate. I love minding cats.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
I have been a professional singer since I was 10 years old.
What do you like about your local area?
I love where I live, because it’s only a fifteen-minute walk to the beach and some of the best walking tracks in Sydney. I love the area where I work because the people and shops here are so unusual and quirky and friendly and I get to see the sun and the sky all day long.
What charities does your brand/location support in your area?
Only being new here, I really don’t know of any charities that we support, however I have spotted a cat Hospital across the road that gets me thinking of some kind of collaboration, and I would love to support any nursing homes in the area caring for any LGBTIQA+ member of our community.
What makes your brand special?
Simplicity is built on just that: We make everything as simple as possible for the families of the deceased when arranging this special event. Our clients can be heard here, they can just sit and cry if they want to unrushed, or we can make it as quick and painless as they want. There are no strict ways of doing anything here; I like to give the clients what ‘they’ want, not what ‘I’ want them to have. An affordable starting point, then the freedom to add what they can afford and still make the service beautiful. I love being creative, making a lot out of a little. We can do that here.
