Meet Michelle
Michelle Mackey is an Arranger with Simplicity Funerals Newcastle Mobile, supporting families across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens.
Before finding her calling in the funeral industry, Michelle spent many years in customer service, developing the empathy, communication and organisational skills she now brings to supporting families. She has spent almost five years in the funeral profession and considers it a privilege to help people navigate some of life's most difficult moments.
What Michelle values most about her role is being able to support families when they are at their most vulnerable. She believes every person deserves a farewell that reflects their unique life and story, and finds it incredibly rewarding to help families create meaningful and personal tributes to their loved ones.
As a mobile arranger, Michelle meets families in the comfort of their own homes, creating a personal arrangement experience. Covering a large region also gives her the opportunity to travel through some of the area's most beautiful landscapes, from stunning coastlines and vineyards to historic towns and rural communities.
Outside of work, Michelle volunteers as a sunrise beach meditation leader and enjoys taking road trips to discover charming country towns and eclectic vintage shops. She also loves the local beaches and café culture, which are among her favourite things about the area.
With a warm, compassionate approach, Michelle is dedicated to helping families feel supported, informed and at ease throughout the funeral arrangement process.
