We had Geraldine and she was absolutely amazing and helped me so much with organising my mother's funeral and being my first time, she was so patient & she showed she cared. I really couldn't have asked for better funeral home to help organise the perfect funeral for mum. I highly recommend them.
Everyone at Simplicity Funerals were very helpful and understanding with what we need and what we were going through physical and emotional.
I would like to pass on my thanks and best wishes to all staff from myself and family for a great job they perform. Cheers.
We were greeted with such warmth and understanding, not having dealt with anything like this before.
Paul sat us down and went through everything with us. The funeral was beautiful, thanks to Simplicity Funerals.

What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
After experiencing my own personal effects of the loss of loved ones and combined with my innate sense of needing to work within roles that incorporate a strong sense of purpose, its has lead me to working in end of life industries. This has lead me into the profound situation of being able to assist grieving families and comfort them in times of having to navigate the difficult path of funeral planning.
What do you like about your local area?
I am not a native Novocastrian but in many ways, I feel like I am. I grew up in inner city Sydney and moved to Newcastle 4 years ago. It feels very familiar to where I grew up in what once was, the wonderful working-class inner city of Sydney. Newcastle has everything I love. Beautiful federation architecture, a working-class history, lush gardens with high rainfall and the loveliest beaches.
Do you speak any other languages?
I speak some French and Maori.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
I am passionate about interior design, cooking and entertaining, animal welfare and working within my local community.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
I am actually quite shy and prefer to take a back seat and to be firmly away from the spotlight. At 6 feet tall this is often a surprise to people! It is always my aim to remain humble and appreciative of the small things in life.
I spent many years of my younger life committed to travelling and understanding the world around me. My favourite places have been Israel, Turkey, Hanoi and the east coast of North America. I have also lived in France, the United Kingdom and New York.
