We had Geraldine and she was absolutely amazing and helped me so much with organising my mother's funeral and being my first time, she was so patient & she showed she cared. I really couldn't have asked for better funeral home to help organise the perfect funeral for mum. I highly recommend them.
Everyone at Simplicity Funerals were very helpful and understanding with what we need and what we were going through physical and emotional.
I would like to pass on my thanks and best wishes to all staff from myself and family for a great job they perform. Cheers.
We were greeted with such warmth and understanding, not having dealt with anything like this before.
Paul sat us down and went through everything with us. The funeral was beautiful, thanks to Simplicity Funerals.

How long have you been a funeral arranger?
I commenced my role in the funeral industry in January this year, joining Simplicity as a Location Manager. While I am new to the industry, I bring with me a strong background in people-focused leadership roles. I was drawn to funeral service by the opportunity to support families during one of the most important and vulnerable times in their lives. As a Location Manager, I value creating a calm, supportive environment and helping families honour their loved ones in a way that feels personal and genuine. I am committed to delivering compassionate, professional care and ensuring each family feels supported.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
What I value most about being a Funeral Location Manager is the opportunity to make a genuine difference for families during one of the most challenging times in their lives. Being able to support people with empathy, clarity, and calm reassurance is incredibly important to me. I find it deeply meaningful to help families understand the funeral process and guide them through each step, ensuring they feel supported and informed rather than overwhelmed. I also appreciate the sense of purpose that comes with serving the local community, as well as working alongside and leading a dedicated and caring team who share the same values.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love spending quality time with my family and exploring new places together. Getting away on weekends, especially camping gives us the chance to reconnect, slow down, and create lasting memories. I also love volunteering and being actively involved in my local community. I take pride in building strong connections and supporting others, whether that’s through fundraising initiatives or community activations. Being able to give back, bring people together, and make a positive impact is something I find incredibly rewarding.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
I’m a huge Formula One fan. I watch every race of the season and will happily get up at ridiculous hours of the night to catch races happening on the other side of the world. It’s definitely a passion of mine and something I look forward to throughout the year. & I’m a huge aviation nerd. I love watching aviation documentaries and have seen every single episode of Air Crash Investigation - all 287 of them.
What do you like about your local area?
Canberra has an excellent restaurant scene, we regularly eat out at new restaurants & pubs. The easy access to nearby beaches and great camping destinations is also a positive. It makes it easy to enjoy weekends away, spontaneous trips, and a balanced lifestyle outside of work.
What charities does your brand/location support in your area?
Our location is proud to support Lifeline and the National Police Memorial Wall to Wall Ride, both of which play an important role in supporting people and communities across Australia. We support Lifeline by assisting at the Lifeline Book Fair, where we help welcome attendees, hand out water, and support the event’s smooth running. We also support the National Police Memorial Wall to Wall Ride, an initiative that honours officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty while raising awareness and funds for police families.
What makes your brand special?
Our team takes the time to clearly explain the process, answer questions, and reduce stress, making the experience as simple and manageable as possible so families can focus on what truly matters. Everything we do is driven by compassion, respect, and a genuine commitment to putting families first.
