I telephoned Simplicity Funerals the day after my husband, Steve, passed away.
From that first point of contact and throughout the process of planning and attending Steve's funeral service, the team at Simplicity Funerals extended great kindness, patience and understanding. We felt supported and guided at every step in fare-welling and celebrating the life of husband and father, Steve Sharp. I highly recommend Simplicity Funerals Tweed Heads.
Highly recommend Grace (Peta) seriously hardest time in my life after just supporting my father through VAD.
Her presence just calmed me and made everything so easy. That is has made me now organise my funeral plan which I had always put off.
Thank you Grace!

Having the huge task of organizing my late sister's funeral was made all the more easier by Sarah.
"Sarah's dedication and efficiency in ensuring a very respectful and seamless experience at a stressful time was very much appreciated. Sarah`s ability to ensure the funeral of a loved one, is first class and I would have no hesitation in a recommendation of Sarah and her team at Simplicity Funerals Rockingham. Thank you so much Sarah."
Firstly, we’re very sorry for your loss. In the hours after someone dies, you should:
Contact their doctor to organise any necessary paperwork
Call a funeral director to arrange the pick-up of your loved one
Begin notifying close family when you’re ready
If you’re unsure of what happens next, our funeral directors are only a phone call away. They’ll explain everything clearly, so you know what to do. We’re available 24/7.
There’s no rush. Once your loved one is in our care, you can take your time to plan the service. Many families hold the funeral within a week of passing, but there is plenty of room for flexibility if you have family travelling from abroad or the death was unexpected and you’re simply not ready.
If your loved one didn’t leave a record of their funeral preferences, we can help you navigate the important decisions and choose what feels right. We’ll explain all the options and give you time to discuss with close family members.
For your first meeting, it’s a good idea to bring the following:
A support person – you don’t have to do this alone
Identification documents to help us begin the necessary paperwork
Funeral plans or wishes (if documented)
A recent photo of your loved one
When you arrange the meeting, your funeral director will let you know if there’s anything else you need to bring along.
That’s what we’re here for. We’ll manage the paperwork and logistics so you can focus on being with your family. We’ll let you know what information we need during the process, without overwhelming you.
We believe budget should not be a barrier to planning a meaningful goodbye. At Simplicity, we’ve spent almost 50 years helping families celebrate their loved ones – from the simplest farewells to more elaborate celebrations. Our packages provide a clear starting point with room to personalise from there. Your funeral director will work with you to understand your situation and craft a service to suit your budget.
We’re here to guide you through the loss of a loved one and celebrate their life in a way that feels right. Call us anytime, day or night.
